On March 5, we’ll celebrate Ash Wednesday with a pot luck supper in Fellowship Hall at 6:30
PM. There’ll be some hands on activities
to engage the children in particular.
We’ll have family devotional materials to take home. At 7:30 PM we’ll move upstairs for a short
time of worship. We do offer ashes . They are a powerful reminder of
the shortness of human life. We’ll share
On March 6,
at 7:30 PM our bible study on John’s gospel begins again. For four Thursday evenings you’ll have the chance
to learn more about this intriguing and sometimes puzzling gospel. Books are available for www.cokesbury.com See “John Immersion bible studies”. You can buy a hardcopy or an ebook.
On Tuesday, March 11, at 10 AM in the Gathering Space, I’ll be leading a program called Lenten
Awakenings. It runs for six weeks and is
open to all in our Conference. Together
we’ll be using Sacred Space: The Prayer
Book 2014. It’s available at on-line
booksellers or through our Conference.

Sure, you can give up
